I'm Peter, Founder of NekoPunch. Here's Our Story.
A few years ago, while studying in the U.S., I had a dog named DupDup. I was constantly juggling academics, internships, and my social life, which left me with very little time to care for him properly. I'd rush out in the morning and often not return until late at night, only to find DupDup waiting by the door for me all day. The sight always filled me with a mix of warmth and deep guilt.
Then one day, everything changed during a visit to Best Buy. I saw my first smart, self-cleaning litter box for cats.
To be honest, I was completely stunned. I thought to myself, "Is this for real? Even cleaning the litter box can be fully automated?" Even though I had a dog, the impact of that technology was immediate. It hit me that the world of pet care had been completely transformed.
I began diving deeper into this new world, eventually buying an automatic feeder and a pet dryer to try for myself. The automatic feeder meant I never had to worry about him missing a meal. The pet dryer turned bath time from a stressful battle into a simple, routine task. This technology didn't just free up my time—it released me from the guilt I carried, allowing me to focus on my work and studies, secure in the knowledge that I could truly enjoy my time with DupDup when I got home.
I brought this sense of wonder and purpose back to Hong Kong and founded NekoPunch.
